How to Apply to Pitch Moonshot

This April VVREO proudly presents an exciting NEW two and a half day event called Moonshot AZ Pioneer Pitch. This “ Shark Tank” inspired entrepreneurial business pitch contest is open to anyone doing or wanting to do business in the Verde Valley. Do you have a “moonshot” idea or an existing business you’d like to expand? Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to receive instruction and advice from various industry experts on how to start or accelerate their business/ideas while competing for cash and prizes.

Eligibility – To be eligible to participate in this competition you must be interested in and willing to do business in the Verde Valley. If this does not fit your parameters, check out the other state-wide programs in Arizona.

To apply, candidates must submit a $25.00 registration fee, complete the online application with the SBDC, and submit a 3 minute pitch video about your product or service on YouTube. Applicants will need to explain their start-up idea, what they feel their unique selling proposition is, and why their product of service is better than what is already on the market.

Step 1 – Determine your Moonshot idea

Step 2 – Pay 25.00 registration fee – you will then be re-directed to the information to complete step 3

Step 3 – Follow the link on the page you are referred to after you make your PayPal $25 payment

Step 4 – Fill out the application provided on the SBDC website – The registration deadline is March 6

Step 5 – Attend 3 of 4 SBDC training workshops at the Yavapai College Clarkdale campus (Dates are March 7, 21, and 28 and April 4. ) Participation in these workshops will enhance your abilities and potential of becoming a finalist in the program.

Fall 2019 – VVREO finalists will be invited to attend a state-wide Moonshot Pioneer Pitch event. The Arizona Pioneer Pitch is sponsored by APS

Pay Registration Fee

Following registration payment you will be re-directed back to this site giving you further instructions on how to sign up with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Yavapai College. As a part of the program, the SBDC will be providing workshops and seminars to better prepare you for the competition.
